4 year old check-up

Ariana had her 4 year old check-up yesterday. She is doing very well. She is 39" tall and weighs 33 pounds. She is slightly below average, but thats still good..better than being overweight for her age. she had to get 4 shots(ouch!!) and they drew some blood to check for anemia. She also got the flu mist spray. After we left the doctors office she said she never ever wanted to go there again. She said the doctor was mean. but of course she only said that because she got the shots, who can blame her, LOL....All evening long she was Ms. Sick Girl, or so she said...she was fine though. This morning she woke up in a great mood and was ready to go to school, She LOVED the weather MINUS the rain and asked for her new sweater that she received on her b-day...Just an excuse to FINALLY WEAR it :-)!!

She cut her hair!!!

Ariana decided that she wanted to cut her own hair this past weekend. I guess i should have known that it was going to happen at one point or another. Ariana loves to cut paper and enjoys doing projects that involve cutting the paper in different shapes or forms. She has done this for quite some time and we have never had that problem. Well apparently she thought she needed to try and be a hair stylist. she only cut on the right side of her hair but since her hair was REALLY LONG it looked so uneven. We only had two options on fixing what she had done. 1. Cut the hair short (right above the shoulder) or 2. Cut the hair in layers with the shortest layer coming right above the shoulder. Of course we went with choice #2. Ariana did not want her hair cut that short and neither did I. We still had to cut off quite a bit on the lengh, but in the end we were happy with the new style....I took pictures of her this morning before we left for school......Below are the pictures of her new style!!!

Popo Lupe's surgery went great and he is at home recovering. We got to visit him on Sunday evening, what a great treat it was for us to go and see him. I'm glad he is doing good. My weekend was pretty eventful. I went to Austin Friday and Saturday to celebrate a Bachelorette party and Birthday party. I also got to hang out with my best friend from High School.....Laura Leigh. Ariana stayed home with grandma and also enjoyed her weekend with her. On Saturday Ariana went to cousin Angel's football game and decided she wanted to be his little cheerleader. She wore a cute little cheerleading outfit. and stood in front of all the fans cheering "Go Ricebirds Go, Go Ricebirds Go". Grandma Norma sent me a video of her doing her little cheer...It was too CUTE, She danced and jumped and did a great job!!! You can see it below...She says she wants to be a cheerleader...Looks like next year we will be adding cheerleading to her dance class...We have decided that she will definitley be a cheerleader for Halloween. Can't wait to get her costume. Enjoy the short video clip!!!!

Prayers for Popo Lupe

Our thoughts and prayers are still with Popo Lupe. We wish him well with the surgery today...Hope he gets well soon and we look forward to seeing him!

Family, Friends, and Relaxation!!!

This morning Ariana did not want to got to school. She said i'm going to school "Just today and not anymore". i said you have to go today, Wed, thurs. and Friday..then you will get a break during the weekend and she said yay"for 3 days", i said no...Sorry, you only had a 3 day break this past weekend because of the holiday, LOL.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND!!!! - Ariana and I had a great weekend. We spent it with family and friends. Friday night was all relaxion. Loved it...we stayed home and watched movies. On Saturday we had a birthday dinner for Desiree's 10th Birthday. Sunday we went to Aunt Felicia's for a Dinner for Popo Lupe and on Monday our "stay at home be lazy day" turned into BINGO time at Grandma Norma's, Ariana insisted on playing bingo (Loteria) so Erika and the kids came over to my mom's house for Dinner and LOTERIA. It was good.... Ariana is learning the game very well, LOL.....All in all, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
