More Dancing....

Ariana attended the Derby Doll Mini Clinic on Saturday (for those of you who don't know, The Derby Dolls are a dance-drill team from our local high school, I was a member of that organization when i was in High School and I loved it). Ariana said she had a great time and really liked it. She is now telling me that she wants to be a Derby Doll when she grows up. She will get to perform at the Derby Doll Spring Floor Show on Thursday April 8th. I am very excited to see her dance to the routine that she learned. All She has told me is that it is a Princess song.
Yesterday after Ariana's Cheer & Tuble class we headed over to the Nail Salon for a Pedicure. Ariana ENJOYED IT...she was smiling from ear to ear the whole time they were painting her toes, then she got her nails painted to match those pretty pink/ polka dotted toes of hers. Today She had her Easter Party at school, which of course she had been looking forward to all week. Tomorrow after work we will be going to San Antonio to visit family for the weekend, I'm hoping to take her downtown at some point for some FUN...I also plan on taking her to watch the new movie with Miley Cyrus, Everytime she sees the commercial she says that she wants to watch the movie. We are definietly looking forward to a fun filled weekend. I will keep you guys posted :-)

South Padre Island and The Black Eyed Peas

This past weekend we took a trip down to South Padre Island for Ariana's final Dance Competition on the Pee-Wee Team. Since the competition happened to fall on the same weekend of our annual spring break trip to Port Aransas we decided to turn it into our Mini-spring break Vacation. We had such a great time there. Definitely a good place to get a away for a while. Our Condo was right on the beach so the view of the beach was Beautiful. Ariana just loved it, didn't want to leave the place, lol.....Ariana did such an AWESOME job on her routines, she remembered the steps and really got into the dances. On Saturday April 24th she will have a dance recital at the El Campo High School Auditorium...so please feel free to come out and watch her. I will post times as soon as i find out for sure, but i'm thinking it will be at 7:00 p.m. Ariana has also started Cheer and Tumbling classes this month, she has never taken any gymnastics before so she truly is a beginner at it all, but she has been asking me to put her in that class for the longest time, so her wish has been granted, LOL...

On Thursday we went to the Houston Rodeo. Ariana had a great time at Kids Country.(special section they have for the kids) She saw a Magic Show, got to pet some animals and enjoyed all the rides. but she was so anxious to Watch the Black Eyed Peas in Concert and kept asking, is it time yet? LOL...we then headed into the Reliant Arena and got to catch some bullriding, Chuck Wagon horse races, Calf Scramble, Barrel Racing and Mutton Bustin (which is something new and so CUTE to watch, 5 and 6 year olds ride a very small sheep and whoever can stay on it the longest wins) After all that was done Black Eyed Peas finally took the stage and OMG it was AWESOME, they rocked that stage. I figured that Ariana would want to be standing up dancing the whole time (like me, lol), since she usually does to most of their songs, but I think she was kind of in shock about seeing them perform live (I don't know what she was expecting, lol) and just wanted to stay seated but she had a smile on her face. She usually complains about people being too loud when they are around her and with 70,000 screaming fans you can imagine how loud it was in there...she never complained once..... It was her first concert, but the ONE song she couldn't wait to hear was BOOM BOOM POW, because her dance team does perform their all team dance to it.

After a 5 day trip to South Padre , work, and a day at the Rodeo I feel exhausted, LOL...I need some REST!!!! Until next time ;-) Enjoy the pictures!!!!

Dance Competitions

Sorry for not posting anything since the beginning of February, I'm slacking..lol! On February 13th Ariana had her 2nd dance competition in College Station. Ariana and the girls did an awesome job. They did a total of 3 routines at this competition. They got really nervous on one of their dance routines which caused them to forget a couple of parts, but i'm so proud of them..they got right back into it and did great. X-treme Jazz came home with a couple of awards. don't have many pictures, but i will be sure to post some after there 3rd Competition which will be held this Saturday the 13th in South Padre Island..Ariana is SUPER excited about this one because not only is she doing what she loves to do but she is also going to enjoy the beach and fun in the sand at South Padre. woohoo :-)
